Hope Union RC Lightweight Platform Specifications
Hope’s Union RC page lists a titanium axle as standard, a 55mm Q-factor, three cartridge bearings, an IGUS bush, and two cleat options. Clipless setup is not only the pedal body.
Hope Union GC Gravity Platform and Pin Configuration
Hope’s Union GC page lists a large platform, 14 replaceable pins, and a foot-plate option for maximum shoe/pedal contact. The GC goes further with a bigger platform, 7 pins per side, and an optional foot-plate setup.
Cleat Options, Free Float, and Release Angles
The official RC, TC, and GC pages list 4 degrees or 5 degrees of free float, with 12 degrees or 13 degrees of release angle respectively. Both cleat options also allow 2mm of lateral float. Hope lists two cleat options with the Union pedals: one with 4 degrees of free float and 12 degrees release angle, and one with 5 degrees of free float and 13 degrees release angle. Both allow 2mm of lateral float.
