Gravel Tire Pressure Calculator
Gravel pressure sits between road and mountain bike setup. The goal is enough support to avoid rim strikes and tire squirm, with enough give for grip, comfort, and control on rough surfaces.

Gravel pressure basics
A 40 mm tubeless tire on light gravel can usually start lower than a narrow road tire, but chunky gravel, heavy loads, tubes, and light casings may need more support. Start with the calculator result, then adjust one wheel at a time.
Quick tuning
- Washboard harshness: drop the front 1 PSI.
- Loose cornering: drop the front 1 PSI and retest.
- Rim hits: add 1-2 PSI to the wheel that hit.
- Rear squirm under load: add 1-2 PSI rear.
